Thunder Roads Magazine LA, celebrated our 2nd anniversary at Cajun Country Lounge in Houma, LA. With this, a benefit was incorporated to raise money to provide for the Louisiana National Guard Family Programs. With beautiful weather, bikers came in from all around to enjoy a day of relaxation, live music, vendors, displays, food, door prizes, live auction and just a plain ole good time with friends.
With registration recorded at over 250, the parking lot was full of bikes and bikers as well as folks just stopping by to check out the variety of scoots to be found. Music provided by Weathered, the Yeah You Right Band, Pig Pen & the Porkchops and Black Rain gave music lovers a variety of music styles to enjoy. LA Rider came out to film the event as well as HOG Heaven which allowed this event to be shared with those from other areas of Louisiana who couldn’t attend. Last tally resulted in $3,000 raised to be donated to the family program through Louisiana Cares.
Next year’s event will be held at another location to be announced later in the year. The staff of Thunder Roads Magazine would like to thank the many sponsors, vendors, donors and supporters who contributed to the success of this year’s event.
